About Wasabi

Name: Wasabi
Gender: Male
Breed: DSH
Colour: Ginger
Age:  9 years old (as of May 2025)

Wasabi is currently being fostered and not at the SPCA. If you are interested to bring Wasabi into your home, do reach out to us. Thank you.

Wasabi was surrendered to the SPCA at 9 years old after being diagnosed with diabetes and a nerve injury affecting his back legs. Because of his injury, Wasabi walks with a bit of a wobble, using his elbows to help move his back legs. Though slightly feisty and occasionally unpredictable, Wasabi has a resilient spirit and a love for life.

He requires daily insulin shots to manage his diabetes, and treats are definitely his favorite part of the day! Wasabi would do best in a patient, understanding home that can provide consistent medical care and plenty of gentle affection.

If you’re looking for a special senior companion with a lot of heart, Wasabi could be the perfect fit.

Note: With effect from 1 September 2024, all adopters will be required to license their cats at the point of adoption. Interested adopters are strongly encouraged to watch and complete a one-time free video online https://go.gov.sg/petownershipcourse
