About Dadushka

Name: Dadushka
Gender: Male
Breed: Domestic Short Hair
Colour: Lynx Point
Age: 5 years (as of April 2025)

Dadushka came into our care in April 2025 after a kind member of the public noticed wounds on her neck and back. While the wound on her neck has since healed, the wound on her back has been chronic and ongoing for close to a year.

She is suspected to have a condition known as feline idiopathic ulcerative dermatitis, which is believed to have a neuropathic component and may be linked to a behavioural condition such as overgrooming. As part of her care, Dadushka requires basic wound cleaning and ongoing wound-management practices.

More importantly, Dadushka truly needs a home environment to support her healing. A calm, stress-free setting with plenty of gentle affection and reassurance is essential for optimal recovery. She thrives on human interaction and would benefit greatly from consistent pats, comfort, and routine from her fosterer.

To help her adjust and achieve the best treatment outcome, Dadushka will also be on behavioural medication. With the right environment and support, she has a good chance of improving significantly.

Dadushka would do best in an ideal single-pet household, where she can feel safe, relaxed, and fully supported during her healing journey.

If you can offer Dadushka a quiet space, patience, and lots of love, you may be exactly what she needs right now. 🤍
