Aarthi Sankar assumed the role of Executive Director at the SPCA in November 2021. Prior to her appointment, Aarthi brings a wealth of experience from the public sector, having spent a decade working at the People's Association. During her tenure, she spearheaded significant initiatives, notably the development of the innovative Specialist Community Club, imPAct@Hong Lim Green. This project aimed to facilitate greater participation of working professionals in community service. In her role, Aarthi collaborated closely with grassroots communities and corporate partners. She also forged and nurtured robust connections with various cause-based communities, including animal welfare groups, working to bridge them with the broader community. Aarthi’s last designation at the People’s Association was as the Constituency Director at Marsiling Constituency Office. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the National University of Singapore.
