Their Journey to SPCA: Otter was originally part of the TNRM program in June 2026. During the process of trapping and sterilization, Otter's affectionate personality was immediately apparent. Recognizing his potential as a domestic companion, the SPCA chose to offer him for rehoming rather than return him to the streets.
Personality: Otter is a sweet and resilient tabby. While he is shy with strangers and new environments initially, he has a playful heart that shines through once he warms up. With gentle reassurance, he reveals a deeply affectionate side.
Daily Life: Otter will thrive in a home with a stable routine. He is a young kitten who will enjoy exploring his new environment once he has had the time to adjust at his own pace.

- Owner Profile: Suitable for someone who appreciates a quiet bond and understands that Otter is a wonderful cat making a fresh start.
Special Care Requirements
- Environmental Needs: Verification of meshing or grille measurements is required before the adoption can be finalised.
- Licensing: All adopters are required to license their cats at the point of adoption (https://go.gov.sg/petownershipcourse).
Progress Since Rescue: Otter has made the brave transition from the community to a domestic rescue. Since June, he has built confidence and is eager to find a forever home.
Educational Corner - The Importance of Cat-Proof Meshing: It is a common myth that cats always land on their feet; in reality, high-rise falls can lead to devastating injuries or death. Installing secure mesh or grilles on all windows and gates is the most effective way to protect your cat, ensuring they do not "take the fall" for a lack of home safety. Please refer to this article for meshing recommendations: https://spca.org.sg/resources/dont-let-them-take-the-fall-for-you-cats-do-not-have-nine-lives/
Looking for a Perfect Family: Otter is a lovely companion who simply needs a bit of time to reveal his true self. He will reward his family with loyalty and affection.
