More about Duff
Duff came into the care of the SPCA in January 2026 after a kind member of the public found her limping on the second floor of an HDB block. Following a veterinary assessment, she was diagnosed with a right sacroiliac fracture, likely caused by a fall or previous trauma. Through dedicated veterinary treatment, strict cage rest, and plenty of tender loving care, Duff has made an excellent recovery and is now ready to find a family to call her own.
Personality
Duff is a sweet, affectionate girl who absolutely adores human companionship. She has a gentle, loving personality and is always happy to spend time with her people, whether she's asking for cuddles or eagerly waiting for her next meal.
Food is one of Duff's greatest joys, and her enthusiasm at mealtimes only adds to her charm. She is looking for a family who will appreciate her affectionate nature and enjoy having a loyal companion by their side.
Daily Life
Duff would thrive in a calm indoor home with a predictable routine where she can enjoy plenty of affection and quality time with her family. Having fully recovered from her injury, she is able to enjoy all the comforts of home and looks forward to spending her days relaxing, receiving cuddles, and eagerly greeting her family at mealtimes.
She would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a gentle, people-oriented cat with lots of love to give.
Behaviour
Comfort with handling: Enjoys human interaction, cuddles, and gentle affection.
Around strangers: Friendly and affectionate, happily seeking out attention from people.
Progress: Duff has recovered beautifully from her fracture and continues to thrive in SPCA's care.
Medical History
Duff was rescued with a right sacroiliac fracture, which was successfully treated through veterinary care, strict cage rest, and rehabilitation. She has since made a full recovery, and her previous injury does not affect her mobility or daily activities.
Please note that our cats are not routinely tested for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) or FeLV (Feline Leukaemia Virus) unless there is a medical indication to do so.
Ideal Home
Duff is looking for a loving indoor home where she can enjoy a stable routine, plenty of affection, and the companionship she loves. She would be best suited to adopters looking for a gentle, affectionate cat who enjoys spending time with people and never says no to a good meal.
Like all newly adopted cats, Duff should initially be given a quiet room equipped with food, water, a litter tray, comfortable bedding, and hiding places, allowing her to settle in before gradually exploring the rest of the home.
Other Adoption Requirements
Home Safety: To ensure Duff's safety, adopters will be required to provide verification of their cat-proof meshing or window/grille measurements before the adoption can be finalised.
Cat Licensing: All adopters are required to complete the Responsible Pet Ownership e-learning course and license their cat at the point of adoption via: https://go.gov.sg/petownershipcourse
Why Cat-Proof Meshing Matters
Cats are naturally curious and agile, but contrary to popular belief, they do not always land safely on their feet. Falls from windows or balconies can result in severe injuries or even be fatal. Installing secure cat-proof meshing or grilles on all windows, balconies, and other potential escape points is essential to keeping your cat safe.
