One-Eyed Jack came into our care after a kind member of the public found him with an eye injury. Upon veterinary assessment, we found that his left eye was sunken and unfortunately not viable, likely due to previous trauma or a longstanding infection. He was also treated for an ear infection, which has since fully resolved.
To ensure his comfort and long-term wellbeing, Jack underwent surgery to remove his non-viable eye. The good news? It doesn't bother him one bit. He has adapted wonderfully and gets around just as well as any other cat.
Jack can be a little cautious when meeting new people, but with a little patience and gentle reassurance, he soon begins to show his sweet and affectionate side. Once he trusts you, you'll discover a lovely companion who simply needs someone willing to give him the time to settle in.
One-Eyed Jack has overcome a difficult start and is now ready to find a home where he'll be loved for the wonderful cat he is—not defined by having just one eye.
