Bunbun was found abandoned together with another hamster under a block, near the main rubbish chute, in a small enclosure.

She has a history of skin issues and is currently recovering well. Her eyelids appear slightly swollen, likely due to a previous chronic infection, and this may remain long-term. We have seen improvement with regular eye cleaning, and adopters may need to continue this care. Bunbun is generally tolerant of gentle handling during cleaning.

At approximately 1 year old, Bunbun is a friendly girl who is comfortable with handling at her own pace. At times, when feeling a little extra sociable, she may even climb onto your hand on her own. She will thrive with adopters who are patient, gentle, and willing to continue building trust with her through positive interactions.

Bunbun is also a little gym rat who loves running on her wheel. She particularly enjoys burrowing and building nests, which are important natural behaviours for hamsters.

Bunbun would benefit from a quiet home environment with adopters who are experienced, or open to caring for a more sensitive hamster, with a focus on low-pressure interactions, consistency, and gradual trust-building.
