Before you submit
Try reaching out to family, friends, and social media first. Post on forums or contact other animal welfare groups. Finding a home through your own network is often faster and gives you more control over who adopts your pet.
Submitting your notice
Complete the online rehoming form below with full details about your pet including photos, medical history, personality, and your reason for rehoming. Good photographs significantly increase adoption chances.
What happens next
Your listing will appear on the noticeboard once reviewed. It will remain active for one month. You are responsible for vetting potential adopters — see our suggested questions panel for guidance.
Be patient
Finding the right home may take some time. Do not give up on the process — a good match is worth waiting for. We wish you all the best with the rehoming process.
Responsibility & household
Are you aware of and prepared to assume the financial and physical responsibilities of caring for this animal? Is everyone in the household agreeable to adopting?
Previous pet experience
Have you had any pets before? What happened to your previous pet(s)? Do you currently have any other pets, and if so, are you prepared to introduce them gradually?
Preparation
What preparations have you made for the animal? Where will it sleep, what food have you bought, and what type of property do you live in?
Day-to-day care
Who will be the primary caregiver? Will someone be home during the day? If not, how many hours will the animal be left alone?
Long-term commitment
Are you planning to move in the near future? Are you prepared to bring the animal with you? What will you do if someone in the family develops an allergy?
For cats specifically
Will you keep the cat indoors? How will you ensure it does not roam? Are you aware of a cat's average lifespan (up to 20 years) and prepared to provide a home for its entire life?
For dogs specifically
Why are you adopting a dog? Are you prepared to train it? Is your home suitably prepared (fencing adequate, etc.)? Are you aware a dog can live 10–15 years?
Why remove your listing?
Once your pet has been rehomed, removing your listing prevents unnecessary enquiries and helps keep the noticeboard accurate for people genuinely looking to adopt. It also protects you from continued contact from potential adopters.
Listings auto-expire
All listings are automatically removed one month after the date of posting, regardless of whether the pet has been adopted. If you rehome your pet sooner, please email us so we can remove it promptly.
