As advocates for the improvement of animal welfare in Singapore, we hope to foster closer rapport with the community and align our mission with your organization’s corporate beliefs. Your participation in our donation box scheme helps us raise funds for our provision of animal welfare services to the community, including our sterilisation voucher programme for community strays, a clinic for the basic treatment of shelter animals and community strays, our adoption programme, a service for lost & found pets, the running of an animal shelter & a 24-hour emergency service for animals.

When you send your employees to volunteer at SPCA and provide services that we require, your organisation will be eligible for a 250% tax deduction on the qualifying cost incurred. Learn more about how BIPS can help your business and SPCA here.

The services that we require vary from time to time, depending on the organisational needs. Currently, we are looking for graphic designers who can come up with attractive designs for our 2018 calendar, posters and banners for our events, and more. So, if your organisation has graphic designers with amazing skills, please complete the BIPS Service Giving Declaration Form and send it to fundraising@spca.org.sg.

This is a hands-on volunteering opportunity which involves:

• the cleaning of the animal enclosures,  surrounding areas of the premises  and general administrative work
• taking our dogs for their regular morning walk (subject to availability of our dog mentor)
• an educational talk that covers the work we do and the sale of SPCA merchandise.

*Although these sessions are available only on Thursday mornings, we can consider other weekdays on a case by case basis

Criteria

• A maximum of 8 per group, due to space constraints
• All persons attending must be above 17 years old.
• The session will begin at 8.00am sharp (you’ll need to arrive at the SPCA by 7.50am).
• Duration of the entire visit is approximately three hours, you will be required to stay until the end of the visit.
• SPCA indemnity forms will need to be completed.
• Volunteers must be prepared to get dirty and wet and interact with the animals.

Important: If it rains heavily, the visit will be postponed.

This is an educational visit which involves an educational talk that covers the work we do, followed by interaction with the animals in the shelter and sale of SPCA merchandise.

Criteria

• Limited to 20 people per visit (min. 15 people )
• Duration of visit is 1½ hours
• If it rains heavily, the visit will be postponed

We are more than happy to visit your company/association, with an informative talk to help raise awareness for the animal welfare cause. We would also be delighted to bring our pet care information and merchandise to help raise funds for the animals.

Criteria

• Available weekday mornings or afternoons
• No limit to number of persons attending. However, a minimum of 20 persons is required
• Duration of talk is approximately one hour
• Will require an LCD projector, laptop and a microphone (for a bigger crowd)
