Zoro is a charming 4-year-old rabbit searching for a fresh start and a loving family to call his own.
Having come into our care after being surrendered by his previous owner, Zoro is now looking for a home that can offer him the stability, commitment, and companionship every rabbit deserves. At 4 years old, he is a mature rabbit who has settled into his personality and enjoys a predictable routine. He would thrive in a patient home that understands rabbits' needs and is willing to provide him with a safe and enriching environment.
🌿 Housing Requirements
For rabbit housing, we recommend a playpen measuring at least 180cm x 120cm. Free-roaming is ideal for litter-trained rabbits, provided the home has been thoroughly rabbit-proofed. This includes securing or covering exposed wires and cables and removing any potentially harmful items within reach.
🥬 Diet and Nutrition
A healthy rabbit diet should consist of:
- 80% hay
- 10% vegetables
- 5% pellets
- 5% treats
Fresh hay should be available at all times, as it provides essential fibre for digestive health and helps keep teeth properly worn down.
🪮 Grooming and Care
Rabbits require regular grooming to stay healthy and comfortable. Short-haired rabbits should be brushed 2–3 times per week, while long-haired rabbits may require brushing every 1–2 days.
Wet baths are not recommended, as sudden changes in body temperature can cause hypothermic shock. Powder baths should also be avoided, as rabbits may ingest the powder during grooming, which can lead to digestive issues.
