Vonita was surrendered to the SPCA in September 2024 after being with her family since 2013. Her owner had to move into a one-room flat where pets were not allowed, and sadly, Vonita couldn’t come along.
Understandably, Vonita is a little wary of strangers and needs time to warm up to new people. She doesn’t do well with sudden approaches or excessive handling, and bath time is definitely not her favorite activity.
Vonita would thrive in a calm, all-adult home with an experienced pet owner who understands that trust takes time and patience. She would do best as the only pet in the household, where she can enjoy peace, routine, and gentle companionship at her own pace.
Once she feels safe, Vonita can be a loyal and loving friend. If you're someone who appreciates the quiet bond of an animal who chooses trust slowly but meaningfully, Vonita might be the companion you’ve been waiting for.
