Meet Nick 🐾

Nick came to us in February 2026 after being surrendered due to a change in his adopters’ housing situation. He had been in the home for the past 6 years.

Before his adoption, Nick spent close to 5 years in the shelter waiting patiently for his chance. Having once found a home and now back in our care, we are hoping his next placement will be a lasting one.

Nick is a shy and conservative boy who takes a little time to warm up, but beneath that quiet exterior is a gentle, calm companion. He enjoys predictable routines and a peaceful environment where he can feel safe.

He is house-trained and grass-trained, and is familiar with basic cues such as sit, down, and paw. Nick walks well on a leash and can be calmly redirected away from other dogs, generally choosing to keep to himself during outings.

He is treat-motivated — especially when chicken is involved — which makes bonding and training both rewarding and enjoyable. Nick also loves sunbathing and can often be found soaking up warm patches of sunlight during the day.

Nick tolerates strangers and has done well around children, especially when interactions are gentle and respectful.

He does experience thunderphobia, so he will need adopters who can provide reassurance and a secure space during storms.
