More about Haikyu
Haikyu came into the care of the SPCA in February 2026 after she was found injured at East Coast Park. When she arrived, she had multiple small wounds on her hind legs and was also suspected to have ringworm. With veterinary treatment, plenty of care, and time to recover, Haikyu has made a full recovery and is now ready to begin the next chapter of her life with a loving family.
Personality
Haikyu is a gentle, affectionate girl who has truly blossomed during her time at the SPCA. Despite the difficult start she had, she has shown just how resilient and loving she can be. She enjoys human companionship and is always happy to receive gentle affection.
If there's one way to win Haikyu's heart, it's with treats! She is highly food-motivated, making treats a wonderful way to bond with her and help her settle into her new home.
Daily Life
Haikyu would thrive in a calm indoor home where she can enjoy a stable routine, cosy resting spots, and plenty of love. She enjoys quiet companionship and would appreciate a family who can give her the attention she deserves while allowing her to settle in at her own pace.
With her affectionate personality and love for treats, Haikyu is sure to become a delightful companion for her future family.

Comfort with handling: Enjoys gentle handling and affection and responds well to human interaction.
Around strangers: Generally gentle and affectionate, though she may appreciate a little time to settle into unfamiliar surroundings.
Progress: Haikyu has made an excellent recovery from her injuries and skin condition and continues to thrive in SPCA's care.
Medical History
When Haikyu first arrived, she was treated for multiple wounds on her hind legs and a suspected ringworm infection. She has since made a full recovery and is now healthy, sterilised, and microchipped.
Please note that our cats are not routinely tested for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) or FeLV (Feline Leukaemia Virus) unless there is a medical indication to do so.
Ideal Home
Haikyu is looking for a loving indoor home where she can enjoy a peaceful routine and continue to flourish. She would do well with adopters who enjoy spending time with their pets and are happy to shower her with affection (and the occasional treat!).
Like all newly adopted cats, Haikyu should initially be given a quiet room equipped with food, water, a litter tray, comfortable bedding, and hiding places, allowing her to settle in before gradually exploring the rest of the home.

Home Safety: To ensure Haikyu's safety, adopters will be required to provide verification of their cat-proof meshing or window/grille measurements before the adoption can be finalised.
Cat Licensing: All adopters are required to complete the Responsible Pet Ownership e-learning course and license their cat at the point of adoption via: https://go.gov.sg/petownershipcourse
Why Cat-Proof Meshing Matters
Cats are naturally curious and agile, but contrary to popular belief, they do not always land safely on their feet. Falls from windows or balconies can result in severe injuries or even be fatal. Installing secure cat-proof meshing or grilles on all windows, balconies, and other potential escape points is essential to keeping your cat safe.
