Starburst was rescued as part of stray cat sterilisation program by an independent rescuer. He was sedated for sterilisation but there was unfortunately adverse reaction to the drugs and he had a cardiac arrest. Emergency resuscitation was conducted promptly and his heart came back beating. His heart stopped for an estimation of 20 seconds. After which, he was still not breathing and was on manual oxygen ventilator for 2 hours. Luckily, he eventually became conscious. The surgery was obviously cancelled.
After emergency resuscitation, he had neurological symptoms and was weak. A kind vet from an external vet clinic offered to foster and nurse him back to health. Now, Starburst has fully recovered. We also successfully completed his sterilisation surgery. He is back to his perky and playful self! and up for adoption for a forever home.
Personality: fosterer spoils him and he likes to eat prawns.
