Project PAAWS

Project PAAWS (Preventing Animal Abuse With Singapore) is an initiative by 6 youths – Choon Keong, Ter Shien, Joshua, Charmaine, Yi-Jin and Danielle – to educate the public on responsible pet ownership, how they can tackle animal abuse and pet care. Ever since its inception in 2012, Project PAAWS has carried out two public educational roadshows at Jurong Point with a total outreach of more than 3000 people. These youths believe that through public education, more people will understand the problems that animals and the animal welfare groups in Singapore face, and ultimately influence the public to do their part in helping improve the lives of animals in our community.
