What do you do when you find an animal that needs help?

If the animal is on the move, you will need to confine it first. If it is unable to move, call the SPCA without delay. If you want the animal to be treated and are unwilling to accept the possiblity that the animal may be euthanased, you are advised to take it to the vet yourself. The SPCA does not have hospitalisation facilities and has only one basic treatment clinic (with no x-ray facilities). If the caller wishes the SPCA to take in the animal, we will take over the responsibility of deciding what to do with the animal and this may unfortunately include euthanasia.
