Garfield
Gender: Male
Breed: Local
Colour: Ginger and White
Age: 3 yrs 11 mths

In search of a reliable furry companion, look no further. Garfield will greet you when you come home, follow you around and oversee all your activities, as he does with us in the shelter! He is engaging, curious and always the first cat to jump into a lap when the opportunity presents itself. He can get a bit carried away at times in showing his love and will need some training to learn when a gentle nibble on your hand is not appropriate - something we are sure he can learn with positive reinforcement. Whilst he gets on with other cats, Garfield can be dominant and would certainly be happy to have all your love and attention just for himself.

Josiah
Gender: Male
Breed: Local
Colour: Tabby / White
Age: 5 yrs 11 mths

Meet the boss of the shelter – Josiah. This confident cat has been with us for almost two years, coming to us as his previous owner was unable to care for him any longer. Josiah opens up quickly to people and shows a healthy dose of curiosity. He is quite opportunistic when it comes to spotting a warm lap to curl up, not fully aware of his masculine size at times when trying to find a cosy place to sleep. Whilst he likes a good chin rub, petting and cuddling happens at his pace – he’s the boss after all. Despite his dominant streak at times, he gets on quite well with other cats and would be suitable for a busier household (which he will run of course).

Margot
Gender: Female
Breed: Local
Colour: Tabby
Age: 5 yrs 10 mths

Margot is an affectionate, demure feline with gorgeous tabby marks and dark green eyes. As her well-rounded statue may give away, she prefers to spend her days curled up high on a cat tree than chase every toy that comes into her sight. Margot’s independent personality is perfect for a working couple that allow her enough beauty sleep during the day whilst also being there for her when she is ready for a good chin rub and cuddle. She is sure to curl up with you but prefers to have her four paws on the ground (and we are thankful for that – she isn’t a light feather). Margot does not get easily fazed by the action around her and has proven to get on well with other cats too.

Rocky
Gender: Male
Breed: x-Burmese
Colour: Black and White
Age: 6 yrs 8 mths

Rocky lives up to his name – this confident, independent masculine cat will need a patient owner that is willing to work with him at his pace. Having had a turbulent life, his guard is up. Rocky is unfortunately not suitable for a household with young kids. To bring the best out of him and ensure a forever home, we prefer to see him go to an experienced, calm household that will give him the time and space he needs to feel secure again. He is very responsive to bribes in the form of food, will eat out of your hand and even sit in your lap whilst eating – so there is most definitely hope for Rocky to turn around and forget about his past.

Cuddle
Gender: Female
Breed: Local
Colour: Tabby
Age: 2 yrs

The clue is in the name – her cashmere-soft fur is simply irresistible and perfect for a good cuddle. If you haven’t fallen in love with her yet at first stroke, her round, green eyes are sure to steal your heart. She is a playfully, chatty young girl that came to us earlier this year as her owner could not take care of her. Whilst Cuddle had to toughen up a bit next to our bossier cats, deep down there is a gentle angle waiting for a safe home where she can drop her guard again. Cuddle gets on with most cats though we suspect that her best side will come out when she gets all the attention for herself.
