Animals react differently towards different people. We highly encourage potential adopters to visit the animals personally to learn more about them from our shelter staff members. Together with an interaction session, you will then be able to see for yourself how well the animal can get along with you and your family.

Lucky was a victim of a car accident before coming to SPCA. She suffered pelvic injuries which were repaired by a surgical specialist. The injuries have since healed.

In April 2019, Lucky went through surgery at SPCA clinic to remove a mammary tumour. The surgery was successful and the tumour was removed entirely. Based on radiographs taken and physical examination, there is no evidence of any cancer spreading. However, laboratory analysis of the tumour revealed that it is an aggressive form of breast cancer which may recur in the future. According to scientific data, median survival time for patients with such cancer is usually 31 months upon diagnosis (Lucky's cancer was diagnosed in April 2019). Her future owners are reminded to check for lumps/masses on her body regularly. If you have any concern or questions, please feel free to contact the SPCA Clinic for advice. Veterinary treatment required after adoption will need to be sought at your own private clinic.

We thank you for considering the adoption of Lucky, a very special cat who has been through more than any cat should.
