MERCHANDISE OFFICER

We are looking for a highly independent and dynamic individual for the post of Merchandise Officer. The job requires you to be in regular contact with our supporters and you will need to be able to communicate clearly and effectively. You will also need to be able to multi-task and be meticulous in your work.

This is a great opportunity to contribute to a meaningful cause by helping advocate for animal welfare and raising funds for our animal protection work.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage SPCA's shop at our Animal Welfare Centre
  • Source for new items for the shop
  • Manage inventory and ensure good store keeping practices
  • Manage online store and seasonal sales efforts
  • Organise and monitor sales booths at various venues/events

Requirements:

  • Ability to coordinate and work with various partners and people of different backgrounds
  • Physically fit
  • Competent in common computer software
  • Diploma in Marketing or equivalent preferred
  • Relevant working experience an added advantage

ANIMAL SUPPORT OFFICER (NIGHT - PART TIME)

We are seeking friendly and cheerful individuals who can manage calls and over the counter enquiries efficiently. Your working hours will be from 5 to 10 pm for four days a week You will play an important role to ensure SPCA’s timely response to emergency calls and cruelty cases.

Join our animal welfare team to start making a difference.

Main responsibilities:

  • Receive, screen and facilitate distribution of cases received via the phone
  • General administrative duties at the reception counter
  • Handle general enquiries from members of the public over the phone or in person
  • In charge of after-hours security of premise
  • Basic animal care work when required

Requirements:

  • Able to exhibit professional and friendly customer service over the phone and in person
  • Comfortable handling animals
  • Able to work from 5pm to 10 pm for four days a week
  • Retirees welcome to apply

INSPECTOR (ANIMAL WELFARE & CRUELTY)

The SPCA’s Inspector plays a crucial role in protecting animals in Singapore. You will respond to feedback from the public regarding animal cruelty and welfare, approximately 60 – 80 cases are received every month. The work is challenging but rewarding as you will have an opportunity to make meaningful change to the lives of animals. Join our animal welfare team to start making a difference.

Responsibilities:

  • Investigation of animal cruelty and welfare cases
  • Inspection of animal related establishments
  • Working closely with government agencies, the police, feedback providers, owners and the community
  • Assisting with policy research and analysis, and animal welfare advocacy
  • Assist in running the Inspectorate in the absence of the Inspector
  • Assist with animal rescue work when required

Requirements:

  • Passion for animal welfare
  • Experience working with animals an advantage
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Good problem solving capabilities
  • Police/enforcement background an advantage
  • Minimum ‘A’ Levels/Diploma
  • Valid Class 3 or 3A driving license with 2 years’ clean record
